"In the early 21st century, there was a genre of art where hands were drawn either with an incorrect number of fingers or other mutations. We believe this style of art was used for ritual purposes. Strangely, this movement of art lasted a very short period of time, from 2023 before gradually disappearing by around 2025" EDIT for those who didn't get it, it's because some newer image generators draw better hands

I don't know what is the specifics as to why, but when I see a poster or something, I can instinctively feel if it is made with Canvas. I don't know if it is the font, colours, how generic the templates are, or if it is the stock images, but I instantly feel a repulsion towards said graphic design. It doesn't matter what style or vibe it's going for, but I instantly hate it.

Yes, it's the new scheme work put in for reducing hamster ball costs, ballsharing. I mean, most people run in hamster balls with more space than needed, no? Although it would more efficient if there was a bus route to carry all 50 people ngl.

You can never stop us. You can see what we see on our internet TVs, but we will DNS block you to oblivion. You can install rootkits on our PCs, but we will torrent, copy, share and never buy another one of your discs. You can brick our devices for trying to install another software, but we will figure a way around and do the very thing you've tried to deter us from doing. You can remove our favourite movies and shows from your crappy platform, but we have already scraped, decrypted, seeded and put them on our trackers. You can ship every device with backdoors, but we will abuse them to liberate our gadgets from your cruel control. You can let us know we will never own our games, but we will let you know we will *never* own our games. You can try anything and everything but we will circumvent it eventually. We own what we own and we will not own what we cannot. We are known by many names but we are one. We are everywhere but we are nowhere. Expect us. EDIT: Last 3 lines to make them paradoxes

I've heard the legends of having to drive to literally everywhere (e.g. drive thru banks), but I have no clue how far apart things are. I live in suburban London where you can get to a big supermarket in 10 minutes of walking, a train station in 20 minutes and convenience stores are everywhere. You can get anywhere with bus and train in a few hours. Can someone help a clueless British lemmyposter know how far things are in the US? **EDIT** Here are my walking distances: * To the nearest convenience store: 250m * To the nearest chain supermarket: 350m * To the bus stop: 310m * To the nearest park: 400m * To the nearest *big* supermarket: 1.3km * To the nearest library: 1.2km * To the nearest train station: 1km Straight-line distance to Big Ben: 16km
