News sites are in need of a paradigm shift.
I think we might get to a system where summaries of news are free, but indepth articles and videos are paid.
Oh and I believe that news sites should scrap subscription only models, I should be able to pay 1-2EUR for a single article that I want to read, with no risk of the payment being a subscription.
Obviously subscriptions models should still be an alternative if the users want it.

Trump is not called out by his very existance.
Trump is called out as a result of his actions.
Calling out Harris at this stage will only serve to drive away voters from her, which will only benefit the Trump campaign.
You have two evils fighting for power, pick the lesser.
This situation will continue untill the US gets rid of the electors and FPTP in elections.
Only then can third parties have a real chance and you can actually vote with more granularity.

Effectively making it pointless at best to bring up now, at worst it will stop people voting for her and the world will have to deal with Trump and his lackeys for another 4 years.
Focus on getting Harris in office, then focus on changing her attitude in the conflict.
I am sorry but that is the only way to do it.
I may not be American, but even I can see that while you might sway Harris on the issue, there is zero chance swaying Trump about anything other than being worse:

Here in Sweden pharmacies are required by law to offer you cheaper alternatives of any drugs you are prescribed.
Which is why when I was on painkillers for a year (don't get double flat feet, double heel spurs and a bad knee at the same time, it might sound like fun, but it isn't) I got several different brands of the same thing, that all worked well.

My car has been amazing, I got my license about 2 years ago, and after relying on busses and trains to get around for eight years and living alone, having a car is just fantastic.
Thinking smaller, my cameras, I got properly into photography back in 2017 when I bought a Lumix GX80, and got a 14-140mm lens for it, it taught me soooooo much about taking nice photos. Then last year I upgraded to a Lumix S5, and damn, it is a really nice camera! The only thing that annoys me with it is the slow AF, so I am already planning on getting two other cameras to complete my setup.... But anyway, my cameras has helped me a lot when it comes to go out and do stuff, simply because I want to get the photos!
Thinking smaller yet, my Hue system is amazing.
Being able to open the door to my apartment and being greeted by a nicely lit apartment rather than a black void when comming home from work is just fantastic.

Hello, this is the start of what will hopefully be a series, of translated stories from the greatest Swedish forum thread I have ever read, it requires a bit of an introduction though. First things first, dear mods, if you feel like this breaks the rules, let me know and I'll end the series. That being said, I plan on only making one post/week to not spam the community. Ok, so what is this series? Flashback is a huge Swedish forum which has existed on the internet for decades, they brand themselves as providing "real freedom of speach", you can discuss anything there, and people do. These days Flashback is home to a lot of racism and sexism as people can post without a filter, I will not be reposting that here. The thread I will be posting from is called "Dumma saker ni gjort", and is a thread that was active for years in the early 2000s, it contains posts about the idiotic things kids did when they were young. Now as this is a Swedish forum the entire thread is in Swedish I will translate the posts into English, but since a lot of posts contains terrible spelling which is very hard to translate completely you will get a sanatized version. I hope this series will be a funny and interesting look at growing up in Sweden in the 1990-2000s. I have however no way to verify the truth of the stories, so please take them at face value snd just enjoy the stories. Ok with all of that out of the way, here are a few funny stories to get started: ------------------ Post ID 00001 Author: Benno > 14år. Jag å morsan ska åka ut och handla, jag går ut före med bilnycklarna. Brevid bilen är det en gatubrunn, jag får för mig att testa utifall nyckelknippan eventuellt skulle kunna komma ner mellan springorna. Efter mycket joxande får jag ner dem mellan springorna. Men tänker jag, det måste vara omöjligt att tappa ner dem från en meters höjd. Men det gick, plumps sa det när nycklarna föll i vattnet nere i brunnen, precis då kommer morsan ut gissa om hon blev glad. Vi fick ringa till gatukontoret som fick skicka ut en gubbe med nån jävla skoppa. Jag fick gräva i den äckliga sörjan efter nycklarna. Två timmar senare kunde vi åka iväg 1200:- spänn fattigare och en visdom rikare. 14 years old. My mum and I was heading out to shop groceries, I walk out to the car ahead of my mum and had the car keys. Next to the car there was a drainage grate, I get the urge to to see if I could fit the car keys through the grate, and after a bit of work I manage it, but I then decided that it must be impossible to drop the keys from a meter up and have them fall through the grate. I was proven wrong with a splash just as mum came out to the car, she was not pleased at the situation. We had to call the municipal road administration who sent out an old guy with a digger, I had to dig through the muck with my bare hands to find the car keys. Good morning, I am in the market for replacing my fairly generic Philips 60hz 1440p IPS office monitor that I have used since 2017, it has issues with image retention and I want to upgrade to a higher refresh rate and move to a dual monitor setup. I am currently decided on getting one or two monitors of either of these models. But I have a few questions... First a bit of an unusual requirenment, I need a monitor with an audio out, I seem to have borked my onboard audio on my computer, I get nothing when connecting my amp directly to my motherboard, it worked fine for a day or two after I built the system, but when I wanted to upgrade my cable, it just never worked, for a few days I used the front headphone jack, but the cable got caught in my chair and pulled the computer case over when it was running, it also yanked one ring out of thw 3.5mm jack. So I have no on board audio I can use, this means that I send my audio through the display port cable and out through the audio out of the monitor to my amp, this works great, but poses some questions that I will get to. At the moment, I am looking at getting one DE and one D, connecting them with a DP cable so I can easily switch between my desktop and my work laptop. This means that I'll mostly be relying on MST from my desktop to my secondary monitor. I will only game on my primary monitor, the other will either be off or show my desktop/chat, how would that affect gaming?

Och det suger. Jag märkte detta när Spårvägsmuseet i Stockholm öppnade sin nya lokal i Frihamnen nyligen. All fokus ligger på att locka mindre barn, bland det de sämsta de har är en springbana där man ska tävla mot buss eller tåg, kul för ungar, extremt störande för andra när ungar skriver och klampar när de springer. Det finns även en gammal förarhytt från ett gammalt tunnelbanetåg däe de spelar upp en gammal trött hyttvideo och man kan stå inne i förarhytten och låtsas att man kör tåget. Det finns några få, utslitna reglage som man kan känna på i förarhytten, men de ge ingen direkt respons som de borde. Hyttvideon är inspelad när ledskyltarna på tunnelbanestationerna fortfarande hade röda lysdioder, det måste fan vara minst 20 år sedan den spelades in minst. Så en vuxen besökare skulle kunna titta på videon och se sin mamma med en barnvagn där de ligger i stå på plattformen. Det finns bara ytlig information om de utställda föremålen, så för mig som gillar lokaltrafik så finns ingen ny information. Jag gillar hur tekniska muséet fungerade när jag var liten, de hade utställningshallar, med fina föremål, men sen fanns teknorama också, en perfekt lekstuga för ungar, det fanns nautligtvis aktiviteter utanför teknorama också, men de brukade vara lugnare och även anpassade för lite äldre personer. Men muséer har blivit mindre och mer fokuserade på barn, det är väldigt tråkigt. Tack för att du läste, jag ville bara skriva av mig

Jag har varit kund of Telia i runt 20 år, jag betalar ca 550kr i månaden för mitt mobilabonnemang med obegränsad data, jag tjänar helt ok, och är en ganska nöjd kund. Jag gillar den enorma täckningen de har, och har egentligen inte haft några problem. Men nu har de börjat ringa mig med nya erbjudanden, det är väl ok, jag är kund hos dem, där de kan sänka min månadskostnad med ca 200kr, plus att jag även skulle få en ny mobil. Det låter ju toppen, vad är problemet? 1. Jag vill själv bestämma över när jag skaffar ny mobil, jag vill inte köpa den från en operatör och riskera att den är låst till dem, jag vägrar absolut att köpa en något på avbetalning, jag gjorde det en gång och min mobil var helt slutkörd innan avbetalningen var klar så jag betalade fortfarande av telefonen efter att jag köpt min nya, visst bara ett par månader, men jag vägrar hamna i samma situation igen. 2. Det stora problemet med erbjudandet är dock att jag skulle tvingas bli bunden till Telia i 24 månader. Hur fan kan det vara acceptabelt att "belöna" en trogen kund genom att låsa in dem? Helt djävla vansinnit! Så när de ringde mig första gången var jag tvungen att säga ifrån flera gånger att jag inte ville ha en mobil utskickad, eller att jag inte ville ha ett nytt abonnemang innan de gav med sig. Igår ringde de på nytt och jag sa i från direkt att jag inte vill ha något om det kräver inlåsning, önskade killen en trevlig dag och lade på. Jag har haft noll tankar på att byta från Telia, men att de anser att låsa in mig i ett två års avtal är att belöna mig är ren och skär idioti. Sänk månadskostnaden, skit i bindningstid och att skicka ut telefoner till mig, så ska de allt se att jag kommer rekommendera dem till höger och vänster! Sorry, jag ville bara skriva av mig lite här.

This was broadcast on state television in Sweden in the 90s... I remember watching it back then, having zero idea of what what going on but liking the bright colors... The main part is just a guy doing a one man show for kids on a terrible CGI background. There are also weird CGI shorts, music videos, puppetry, badly drawn cartoons, a weird gameshow with teddy bears, bad music videos. I realize that they are all speaking Swedish, but trust me, this is from an era just breaking out of heavy moralizing and the segments of the show are constantly overbaering with trying to tech kids stuff. It is not without it's charm though, I kinda like the gameshow part, even if the concept is a bit contrived... But I like the attention to detail and how nicely made it is.
I mean in those areas where it just identical houses along a road in huge blocks. How would you realisyicly solve it?

In the 80s/90s Arnold was a huge movie star, playing huge men in both serious and comedy roles. I guess that what I am asking is; what actor today could occupy the same kind of decade defining place as Arnold did in the 80s/90s? They don't have to be a massive bodybuilder, but they should be the first name that anyone would think of when someone say "2010s/2020s".

The first few weeks/months I set the difficulty to peaceful survival, but after hgaving lost my bed and dying only to respawn far away from the base, I recovered a shadow copy backup and cheated into creative mode, a few years later after being annoyed, I removed bats and clouds from the world so I could focus on building stuff. I never used any mods to enable me building faster or easier, apart from the above mentioned cheats this is vanilla minecraft, every block built in the last decade has been placed manually, every hole dug has been dug either manually or with TNT, often rigged to be synced with redstone if blasting horizontal. To see what I probably think is the most impressing stuff, find Plattform 7 at the huge trainstation and follow the tracks. BTW, the brick church is ginormous, go downstairs, and have a notebook to draw a map handy, it is a bizzare librarynth down there, and even I can't remember the way through. The main runway is mined.
