DetroitLions
We became Lions fans twenty-five years ago, when I moved out to Windsor for work after University. I could get away with calling myself a long-suffering Lions fan, but right now, my heart goes out to the Pride that have been here long before I jumped on the bandwagon. One Pride
My earliest memories of rooting for sports teams goes back to early eighties as a kid in Edmonton, Alberta. Between our NHL and CFL franchises, I've been spoiled. Watching the Jays win back to back World Series was amazing as well. I really have done well as a sports fan over my lifetime, if not in recent decades. I have never wanted a GM and HC to find personal success more than I have for Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell. They love this team, and you can feel it, just as well as you can see the results on the field. One Pride
I think with the home field the good lions show up, if not uh-oh.
Would the real defense please stand up. Is it the clowns from week one or the juggernauts that showed up week two?
Probably a good thing to end it before someone gets shot
Be interesting to see who can play next weekend, Montgomery was a big loss and the offense seemed to be missing something when he went down.
Pete Carroll is a dirt bag, losing to him and his smarmy squad smacks of SOL. Hopefully not.
Game Thread for today. Let's go Lions! Lions 0 - 0 Seahawks
Sort by new y'all Lions 21 - 20 Chiefs
It's finally here. Woo! We should get a game thread going later. How's everyone going to watch the game? Double checked last night the antenna is getting NBC just fine.

This article by the Athletic is long, but anyone who has ever considered themselves a Lions fan will find something relatable to it. This is a gold standard in writing in my opinion.
Team needs to be down to 53 by Tuesday.
Everyone seems upset that the Lions are no longer the default Division champ. Doesn't this really come down to having to show people now, no more talk
cross-posted from: https://lemmy.ca/post/3547676 > Goff is hilarious in this episode! Great production again by the Lions media team!
Lions have the nationally televised 1pm est game today. Why is there only 1 one o'clock game and tons of evening games? Don't know, don't care. Because the Lions play at 1! Who's everyone excited to see do their thing today. Personally I want to see how the rookie WRs are today. It's looking like we're gonna need at least one of them at the start of the season. So can Drummond, Cota, or Green make a case it should be them? Defensively I got nothing, maybe the DB depth?
Seems Jamo's hamstring injury yesterday will keep him out of the rest of preseason and then his 6 game suspension starts. Silver lining, should be nice and healthy when he gets back but sucks for his development. Hopefully the rest of the WR room heals up and/or steps up because it's looking pretty thin right now.
Are we doing game threads?
Opening up the RB3 positon on the roster. Yesterday reporters were chatting about Mohamad Ibrahim looking good. Probably not a coincidence but ups his chances. Edit: Justin Jackson, Lions RB. Not the Vikings WR.
Team looking good. Apparently need to work on covering tight ends, stopping the run, and some penalties.
No real surprises in my opinion. The front office, coaching staff, and players all seem to be on the same page which is nice.
I thought it was pretty interesting discussion with how the three of them started 3 years ago versus where they are now.
Lots of praise for Hutchinson
