OC = Own Collection [*Rhynchovola* Jimminey Cricket](https://www.orchidroots.com/display/summary/orchidaceae/100062278/?family=Orchidaceae&role=pub&syn=N) = [*Brassavola nodosa*](https://www.orchidroots.com/display/summary/orchidaceae/24208/?role=pub) × [*Rhyncholaelia digbyana*](https://www.orchidroots.com/display/summary/orchidaceae/178329/?family=Orchidaceae&role=pub) Unfortunately, it does not smell, even though *Brassavola nodosa* smells really nice, and *Rhynchovola*s are also supposed to have a smell. With bonus Jiminy Cricket pin.
Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens. *Psychopsis* is in subtribe [Oncidiinae](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oncidiinae)
*Maxillaria* is in the subtribe [Maxillariinae](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maxillariinae), which also includes *Lycaste*.
[*Chysis laevis*](https://www.orchidroots.com/display/summary/orchidaceae/40379/?role=pub&related=ALL&syn=Y&searchdata=) is in the subtribe Chysinae (it was previously placed in Bletiinae). The flowers were open only a few days and I suspect they pollinated themselves, because I don't have anything closely related. There are four fruits in total, and they are quite large. [*Chysis laevis*](https://www.orchidroots.com/display/information/40379/?family=Orchidaceae&role=None) Lindl. OC = Own Collection This orchid opened three flowers, which were open only a few days. I suspect that they self-pollinated somehow, but I'm not sure. (They now have "thick" fruit-like parts.) I couldn't detect any smell. Chysis is in subtribe [Bletiinae](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bletiinae) according to Wikipedia, and in subtribe Chysinae according to Genera Orchidacearum Vol. 4. I couldn't find how the RHS classifies it. In any case, the genus is in tribe Epidendreae, which also includes subtribe Laeliinae.
OC = Own Collection I bought this in January 2023. [*Myrmecocattleya* Luster](https://www.orchidroots.com/display/information/100031393/?role=pub&family=Orchidaceae&role=pub&related=ALL&syn=Y&searchdata=) = [*Cattleya forbesii*](https://www.orchidroots.com/display/information/35915/?family=Orchidaceae&role=pub) × [*Myrmecophila thomsoniana* ](https://www.orchidroots.com/display/information/132051/?family=Orchidaceae&role=pub) Both species are in the subtribe [Laeliinae](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laeliinae). I believe I smelled a very faint perfume, but I'm not 100% sure.
National Orchid Garden, Singapore. [*Aranda* Majula](https://www.orchidroots.com/display/information/100023466/?role=pub&family=Orchidaceae&role=pub&related=ALL&syn=Y&searchdata=) = *Arachnis* Maggie Oei × [*Vanda insignis*](https://www.orchidroots.com/display/information/211483/?family=Orchidaceae&role=pub) [*Arachnis* Maggie Oei](https://www.orchidroots.com/display/information/100044430/?family=Orchidaceae&role=pub) = [*Arachnis hookeriana*](https://www.orchidroots.com/display/information/13683/?family=Orchidaceae&role=pub) × [*Arachnis flos-aeris*](https://www.orchidroots.com/display/information/13679/?family=Orchidaceae&role=pub) Both *Vanda* and *Arachnis* are in the subtribe [Aeridinae](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aeridinae). I don't remember whether the flowers were perfumed or not, but they may have been, like *Papilionanda* Mimi Palmer, another *Vanda* hybrid that can be seen (and smelled) at the National Orchid Garden.
