First of all, thanks for renewing the cert on this instance! I just logged on and both my Subscribed and All feeds only have posts from Beehaw. Is there an issue with federation? Thanks
Hi! I'm in Germany, but a few years ago I joined sdf.org because I had the feeling sdf-eu was a bit abandoned. I don't remember if I created an account or not. Now that I see - through this lemmy instance - that there are people here, I wanted to take another look. When I ssh to `new@sdf-eu.org` I get a prompt for a password instead of the mkacct flow. Is that known/expected? Is this the right channel to ask?

Is it for mail, programming, irc, usenet, website, etc? I'm just curious what other people do when they log into sdfeu.
It is great to be a part of SDF, but in Europe! This instance is blazing fast! While I am waiting for federation, I want to wish everyone a lovely evening.
The picture is of sdfeu.org 20 years ago when we first started the project. We currently have servers running in Düsseldorf and Falkenstein Germany.
