Cross of Auria has me playing 14 minutes in the last two weeks. However, I have not played this game in months. Why would the playtime clock have time on it?

I have not been able to correlate it to any event in steam. I watched the volume mixer to find out that it was steam. I tried to turn off all notifications but obviously I have missed something. There is no visual cue just this sound in the background. I appreciate any hints.
The amount of discounts and severity of said discounts turns what is a 20-60 dollar game into a 2-10 dollar game, and valve has been doing this constantly. I'm not complaining, because I get more games for less like you could back in 1970, but it's almost concerning how much Valve is doing this.
Do you ever notice how 99.9% of the time when a reviewer says this, they err on the side of a *negative* review? 🤔
