Mark Farrell asked (SF mayor's office) for favor to rush his home renovation permits, mayor claims

Farrell's response regarding this incident doesn't make sense.

If he was purely interested in how long the issuance of the permits would take, why not call the DBI directly instead of Mayor Breed's office?
