Confusion on unencumbered spirit talent

Shattered Pixel dungeon- v2.5.2

Does this talent apply just to weapon and armor, or does it also apply to artifacts and rings? Does a +1 ring count as a tier 2 equipment? Does a +0 ring count as a tier 1 equipment?
