Depends what the line is for and what kind of relative hurry we are in. Are we waiting for food in a cafeteria? Not a big deal. Seats at an event that is a first-come, first-served basis? Bigger issue. It affects everyone behind me too, not just me.
I’d likely say something, but not create a big fuss about it if they’re dead set on it.

This is pretty much accurate. They have moved rapidly more towards revisionism to try to garner more popular support in recent years, which hasn't really been worth it, but do have probably the best policies of any of our majors parties. And they ARE a pretty major party here, technically speaking one of the biggest communist parties in a non-Communist state. Their position about the CPC is a huge miss, admittedly.
Local chapters can be a lot better depending where you are. Marx remains extremely popular throughout academia and is very often taught by economists at universities here quite positively. I am not sure how much of it sticks with the college aged though, I did my undergraduate in another country, only did graduate school here.
The LDP (our governing body since WW2) has sucked since inception, but I still hold out hope for the more revolutionary elements in the country. If it wasn't for the US-led red purge in the aftermath of WW2, we likely would be socialist already.

5 is great, and also pretty underrated in my opinion. I recently replayed the first six and I think I had greatly underrated 3/5 and overrated 4.

Not obscure, but I always felt FF3 never got enough credit. Largely because it never got a western release at the time I imagine. It was incredibly ambitious for a NES title, the nested world maps was absolutely bonkers at the time and it was really the first real form of the iconic FF job system.
Yeah the party was just a blob of blank slate characters, but overall I think it actually holds up pretty well.

So are the citizens of the DPRK all starving and barely able to lift a finger or strong young soldiers who are swinging the war on their shoulders?
Are we sure they aren't pretending to be soldiers, since we know every single person in the DPRK is an actor pretending to be happy.

I am going to stop going to work, because making me go to work is a plot of putin to <mumblemumblemumble>.
If you disagree, you are a putin apologist. I will still need that paycheque though.
Just reaching across the aisle to pander to the more fascist elements, nothing else.

Nah, that would involve them engaging with non-Japanese. They basically sequester themselves to black vans driving around and Twitter. Lots of Twitter.

Yeah it’s pretty much garbage
It’s not even trying to get you to do anything. Just phrased as a bizarre self introduction about how much he likes nuking places. A lot of scams here are phrased in that exact way “Hi, I am name! My hobbies are…”. I used to get about ten text messages like that a day.
Not really sure what the goal of this particular one is. I am not aware of anyone with that name even they’re trying to target.

Only 330 huh? Those were the only Nazis memorialized right? Definitely no other fascists mixed in there?

I have always worked in some form of customer service, which has all kinds of...fun moments. Highschool through university I worked in restaurants. Got the full gamut of rude customers, customers rolling in thirty seconds before close, etc. Had a customer try to pay us in cocaine once, which we do not accept as legal tender.
I am in [luxury] hospitality now and have had to deal with all kinds of entitled jerks and celebrities. Including some heads of states that I have very strong negative opinions about. The mid tier CEOs are the worst though, because they think they are far more important than they actually are. Had a guy call the police while he was checking out because he didn't want "a foreigner" handling his luggage.
Saved us the effort of blacklisting him, because the police obviously escorted him out instead.

Everytime I tried to play HoI4, I just made whatever country I played communist. I assumed that is the victory condition right?

I would offer to help sourcing/translating it if needed, I am in Japan, but ultimately doubt it matters much if it is just random spam. Just sounds like random right-wing Japanese twitter folks.

Brigades forming from…what? Are they fielding robot brigades now? No amount of money is going to fill the severe manpower shortage, unless they are getting more mercenary/thinly disguised nato troops.

I actually entirely missed that they were a woman, sorry. I missed that one word when I read through it. Obviously I didn’t mean it in that way, but I understand the term can have that charged meaning when referring to women specifically. Which wasn’t the intended effect. I’ll edit the original post accordingly. Thank you for pointing out my mistake.
Everything else basically stands though.

Sorry I’m not sure where the misogynist bit comes in? I may have missed something though, so I am happy to correct myself if I did.
We have a pretty large volume of “study abroad students” that just come here to treat the country as their personal party and holiday for six months. Not everyone, but the ones who don’t rarely feel the need to point out that they did a study abroad.

“Studied abroad in Japan”.
read: “I spent half a year in Japan doing shit all and consider myself an expert now. I consider ichiran the best ramen shop in the world. “
I know exactly the type, they’re the vast majority of people coming here. They all have this same exact insufferable liberal mindset too, like visiting Japan makes them so fucking worldly.
Edit: editted for content.

It turns out all you need to do to totally whitewash your legacy is volunteer building homeless shelters after you’re out of office.
Forget the fact that this was the most powerful man in the country who maybe could have done something a tiny bit more impactful about homelessness while he was in office if he actually cared. No, it’s all okay because he volunteers. East Timor? But look at this house!
If an average person helps build a house, it is commendable. Though it is still a massive failing of the government that it was necessary. An ex-president doing it is just trying to assuage their guilt at best.
That is really all I have to say, but Astrobot is just one of the most delightful games I have played in years. Nothing deep or life-changing, just pure simple fun. Very much in the Nintendo school of design philosophy, but I enjoy it more than anything Nintendo has put out recently. Looks visually great, fantastic music, and a lot of interesting mechanics that never overstay their welcome. They are still the only studio who has really leveraged all the PS5 haptics well too. My partner won't let me play it by myself because she just enjoys watching it that much. Basically, if you have a PS5 I strongly recommend it.
Dune seems to be everywhere now. Multiple board games, a MMO, strategy games, multiple movies. With the recent resurgence of popularity of Dune thanks to the movie, curious what people think of it. It's a series I have pretty fond memories of from when I was much younger, and have been considering maybe giving them a re-read to see how they hold up. Might even keep a blog on it, if people are interested.
