If seeing what a nightmare he is doesn’t light a fire under someone’s ass to get out and vote I’m not sure how articles praising Harris would do any better. If you’re sure they will you could post some. But “If you ignore them they’ll go away” is a useless approach, as any bullied child could tell you.

The word puberty doesn’t even appear in the Wikipedia page on bears. Absolutely weird shit to lie about.

Hey, if a bunch of queer people tell you that you ignored the obvious on its face reading of a tweet in order to make up something homophobic to get mad about instead, maybe you should listen to them.
You clearly have no understanding of the matter to begin with if you think twinks are children.

If you think you’re not going to have changes in weight and body hair as you get older just because you’ve already gone through puberty, you’re going to have a bad time.
Btw, equating twinks to children is pretty fucked up and homophobic.

Imagine saying the n-word 100 times in an assault on someone and only being halfway done. 😬

Your local library might give you free digital access to most (or all) of those, if you haven’t checked.

Thanks for the medication info! I’ve been in therapy and currently have a psychiatrist but haven’t focused much on the screaming issue. I’ll bring it up in my next appointment to see if it would work well with my meds.

I assume it must be nightmares, but I usually don’t remember them when I’m woken up. I think it’s PTSD related, but who knows.

One of the most widely-seen tweets promoting the video was also recently deleted. It came from an X user calling himself @TheWakeninq, who uses variations of the name “QAnon76” on other websites. But the video, as BBC journalist Shayan Sardarizadeh noted, had obvious hallmarks of being a deepfake, with distorted facial features and a foreign-accented voice that was out of sync with the speaker’s movements. While the alleged victim is a real person who, according to his social media presence, did graduate from the school where Walz once taught and coached, other videos on his Facebook account capture someone who looks different and speaks with an American accent. According to his Facebook account, the now-adult former student—who did not immediately respond to a request for comment—has previously experienced homelessness; a Gofundme from 2021 said that he was living in Hawaii and trying to “get off the streets.” The video is still up on @TheWakeninq’s Rumble page, where it has been viewed by at least 6,000 people.
This is so premeditated it’s disgusting. They didn’t fart out a fake person with AI, they targeted a real former student of his who they knew probably wasn’t going to hear what they’re using his likeness for due to being homeless. To take someone who is already that vulnerable and use their images for a scam like this needs to result in a prison sentence.

That I will scream in my sleep and have nobody to wake me up, and it’ll be embarrassing at minimum and maybe get the cops called at worst.
The screaming part isn’t hypothetical, it happens pretty regularly.

No way, that has to be like hitting the med school lottery. Every individual body is a wonderful unique snowflake and all that, but getting one with three dicks is a great story for the rest of your life.

Does Mastodon have the blocking features that Bluesky has (like lists, blocks stopping quote reply chains, etc)?
Other than on Blahaj, I’ve never found a place more chill to be queer online once you apply a couple of well maintained block lists.

It’s almost Spanish for “I asked” (pregunté).
Although it’s common for English speakers to mix up the word for ‘embarrassed’ (avergonzado) with ‘pregnant’ (embarazada). Which makes trying to tell someone “I’m embarrassed” even more hilarious!

Plenty of poor people in cities also live without cars ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Taking the bus is going to beat the cost of a car pretty much every time, even accounting for situations where a cab is necessary. Only works if your work isn’t reliant on a vehicle, your city has okay transit, blah blah we all know this comment wasn’t supposed to encompass all possibilities.

It’s in case some jackass on their phone rear ends you, if you’re too close you’ll get pushed into the car in front of you. IIRC you can be liable for the damages to the car in front of you while stopped if a multiple car accident happens.

If it affected mom and pop stores it’s only because they’re not paying as much and can’t keep staff, because businesses with less than 60 locations are exempt from the wage increase.

Apparently it’s a promotion for Clean Air Day, I had no idea it was going on until I got on the bus to go to the store today.
Obviously learning a couple of words in another language doesn't really make you bilingual, or being able to say a few phrases. But there's also clearly some point before full fluency where you can be considered bilingual, but how is it determined (formally or informally)? Is it purely vibes based, you'll know when you see it kind of thing? I'm vaguely familiar with the CEFR levels measuring how much of a language you speak, but if there's a cutoff point for counting as bilingual in there somewhere I don't know where.
