I know wizzardy is a big foundational game from the beginning, but I've never played them and they sounded very grindy. I'm curious about a mobile game, but I will wait for reviews.

I've been meaning to play the original, I'm a big fan of disgaea.

Thanks, this is helpful. Got any links to the Japanese review you read? Sounds way more useful than retrododo.com article.

Does anyone know what the AI actually does?
I'm assuming it's based on image recognition like the Shinden gun. It's a branch of AI different from the LLM systems that power things like ChatGPT.
Honestly, the fact that the article writer is shilling an AI product without actually explaining what the AI does is kinda making me doubt their journalistic integrity.
Ha ha hell yes, retro dodo is garbage, they are a site that posts whatever silly thoughts they happen to have about old video games. This kind of announcement about upcoming release is about the best they are good for, and you still have to read through the filler to see that they don't know anything more than the Japanese Twitter post that actually announces the thing.

You think it won't work? Because it is "AI"?

Shinden also works on image recognition, so this sounds fine, but I need to read more. Light gun games were some of my favorite in the Arcades, I'll buy this or something like it.

it requires removing parts from an original Super Game Boy cartridge and attaching them to the new board.
I am in awe of the deep technical knowledge in the retro community. I just emulate things and am satisfied. Some take it to new heights, seemingly just because they can.

I remember playing around with this, never went deep with it but appreciate the project. I really wish more languages had alternative syntax options like this. I'll give Hy another shot this weekend.

I don't really remember Zoun, but happy to see the pros come back from military service. GLHF!

I don't think I've ever seen a Nuon. That's cool as hell and retro as hell to put a Net Yaroze game on it, wow!

Raiden 2 was my most played shmup in the local arcade for me, the rest in thy series never drew me in the same way.

Relaunch? I never listened to it's old run, anyone have thoughts on it? Other Django podcasts to listen to?

I have a 4 Pro right now and like it a lot. A bigger screen is exactly what I wanted to see in the next version, so I'm happy with the announcement. I don't plan to buy unless my 4 Pro breaks or something. Hope they keep to a good price.

I'm expecting it to be more powerful than RP4P.

I'm not a modder but I think it's cool people can do this kind of stuff 🎉

I need to do a dive on this era of Sega arcade games, I was a Genesis kid.

I've got a RP4P and if anything I want a bigger screen device, not a mini. I would get a 35XX if I want something mini. For a powerful chip and android setup I would rather have a big screen.

Oh lord I somehow thought this is next week, it's here already!!
I read that resistance bands on me can help me get going on pull up bars. Is there a specific kind or style or size I should get for these? Thanks all.
The schedule got posted on their Patreon, not sure where the official english stuff gets posted. Tuesday in Korea will be the first of the Ro16! **Group A** - Maru (T) - Scarlett (Z) - Creator (P) - Solar (Z) **Group B** - Cure (T) - Stats (P) - Nightmare (P) - Bunny (T) **Group C** - Dark (Z) - DRG (Z) - Astrea (P) - Byun (T) **Group D** - Gumiho (T) - Soo (Z) - Classic (P) - Hero (P) It's very exciting to see Scarlett and Astrea as the non-Koreans in the mix. Looking at who they are up against, it will be a challenge for them to get to the next round. **Extra Links** - [Liquidpedia - GSL 2023 S3](https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Global_StarCraft_II_League/2023/Season_3) - [AfreecaTV on YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/@afreecatvesports432/videos) where english videos are posted after the matches happen
My wife & I play 2v2 so we can have fun while collaborating in a game. We've been on the same 2v2 map pool for what feels like forever. It's great to have some new maps. Sadly, we haven't won a single game since the release! So frustrating!
It's pretty cool, and pretty powerful what you can do with it. Should other languages adopt this approach? I think named types is better for building abstractions, but I haven't come up with a good explanation yet.
I'm sure everyone knows Retronauts, the awesome & long running Retro Gaming Podcast. Hey their website has some cool articles. Right now Stuart Gipp has a series of short reviews for *all* the games on the Sega Game Gear. It's not complete yet, but it makes for a good resource if you're looking for things to try on that little system.
Anyone here learned Tagalog as an adult? I'm an American so I only speak english and am trying to learn Tagalog. Anyone got tips on resources that worked well for them? Thanks.
I've typed in the URL for this website as Lammy a few times by mistake. But it reminds me to play a great PS1 rhythm game!
There are a lot of ways to play the old video games. For me, my favorite way is with one of the little 3rd party retro game devices. I had a RGB10 Max 2 and it was great, but I dropped it and it broke. Im using an RG35XX and it's working great for PS1 and earlier. I'd love to get something more powerful for PS2 games but maybe in the future. Chat in here about if you have a little handheld or your particular way of playing these great old games!
