I booked a train to Germany. 2 hours before my train even started at it’s origin station, it was already announced that it will be delayed in the station where I need to change (6 hours from now). I have no way to get the money for my seat reservation back, despite that the journey has not even started yet and despite me and the train company assuming right now, that I’ll miss the train. It’s an infuriating system and I hate the German train company. I probably wouldn’t be able to wait and reserve a seat for the train that I can actually catch, because the trains are hopelessly overbooked. I can only hope, that someone misses the next train, that I have to take instead, just like I missed mine and find a free reserved seat there.

Anyone else feel oppressed by the Q-slur and feel that its widespread use harms LGBT rights more than it helps? It feels like every LGBT-adjacent “safe space” isn’t safe for those affected by the Q-sl

I heard the same logic from a poetry slammer once, who argued Germans should just go around and greet everyone with “Heil Hitler” and take the phrase away from Neonazis (and therefore taking away its power).

I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing it, but if it angers a Nazi, I could be up for it.

I tried it for a long time and it’s just clunky, advertisements are hidden everywhere between the posts and in the comments section, the general overview is cluttered and illogic, and it stutters while scrolling.

Humans and lemmings are natural enemies… Like humans and redditors… Or humans and other humans! Damn humans, they ruined humanity!

Interesting, because in times of low stress, I’m able to wake up a few minutes before the alarm and then turn it off just to stand up rested.

  • Justifications for monetary inflation are a lie
  • Kainsmasquerade Kainsmasquerade 1y ago 100%

I’m no expert on inflation, but if I can buy one cone of ice cream today and know that (due to inflation) I won’t be able to buy one tomorrow, I’ll buy it today. If I can buy one cone of ice cream today, but for the same money two cones tomorrow, I might wait.

If I know consider different wares, this behaviour might change. Essentials to survive, I won’t postpone to buy.

So as I understand it, in case of deflation you’d only hoard cash for luxuries.

  • What are your favorite split-screen co-op PC games?
  • Kainsmasquerade Kainsmasquerade 1y ago 100%

It’s not split screen, but an enjoyable game for two players in the same screen (so couch coop):

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiritfarer

You play the new “Reaper” and his cat. Collect lost souls, that still have some issues to solve, travel the “in between” spirit world, build a house boat, take care of gardens, make music, etc. The artwork is cute, while the topics of the lost spirits can be unexpected sad. Still a great game to relax!
