Most well-deserved physics Nobel I can remember.

Agreed 100%. If you don’t believe this is possible, try OpenAI’s o1 model.

but for now, his approach is textbook Silicon Valley mythmaking
The difference is that in this case it is not hype—it is reality. It’s not a myth, it is happening right now. We are chugging inevitably down the track to the most dramatic discovery in human history. And Altman’s views on solving the climate crisis, disease, nuclear fusion… they are all within reach. If anything we need to increase our speed to get us there ASAP.

Still far too low for a company that will likely accomplish AGI in the next two years.

I have a hard time defending the YouTubers on this one. I mean, Nintendo has been pretty good about allowing older games to be played on its modern consoles. See VGC, the NES/SNES/N64 pass, and the multiple re-releases put out for the Switch. At some point just pony up the money or play the older games on a physical older console.

I thought this was going to end with anon eating the cat food. Glad the feline was cared for.

What a disgrace. This clown show of a company kills things people love and pushes advertising no one wants.

Play video games. Make myself go outside for twenty minutes a day. Do some stretches as exercise. Hope my daughter visits me.

High school graduation. There was really nothing to do about it, sitting through all the long speeches, in piercing pain. Ran straight for the stalls after.

I had a good experience with implants, but you need to know what you’re getting yourself into. It’s a big chain, and they make money on volume. You’re not going to get the same level of individual care.

The voice isn’t his to own in the first place. “They” have a right to use it as much as he does.

Rooting for Nintendo on this one. Palworld was dumb, you can’t just steal others’ IP without consequences. They could have made things just different enough… But they didn’t, they were dumb.

I don’t know how much it matters though? If I try it on my Windows XP machine I’ll still be stuck with the old limit right?

And I thought my opening lines were bad
In Season 3 Episode 18, *Chess Pains*, to end the episode Frasier finally beats Martin at chess. And Martin is finally able to sleep. Frasier was obsessed with beating his father the entire episide. Did Martin let Frasier win to end Frasier’s obsession? My vote is **yes**. What think you?
Modest Heatran worked well for me.
Threads will implement ActivityPub and be interoperable with the rest of the fediverse.
It's been rough lately. I feel like crying, but don't want to around my wife or kids. I don't want to go outside even though it is nice out. I want to pull the curtains shut and be in the dark. It's hard focusing at work, and I worry that my lack of focus and motivation could cause problems. There's nothing in particular going on in life that seems like it could cause it. It just happens with me. I just barely got back from a visit with my psychiatrist and we are upping the dose of my antidepressant. I guess I don't have anything else to say. I just wanted to post this to start this community and to let other people struggling that you aren't the only one.
Two of my favorite subreddits were Nuzlocke and pokemonribbons. Should we keep those as part of the general discussion for now or split them into separate communities?
