I would have sued them personally for defamation just under the small claims court amount ($10k) with a jury demand. Small claims cases in my state cannot be dismissed for cause of action. They could ask for a summary judgement, but that would still cost more in attorneys fees than just settling.

I deconstructed the underlying methodology of the creator of the system in order to understand their internalized blind spots or artificial limitations imposed on them by unrelated third parties at the time of the systems creation.

I used to work at a new car dealership, I didn't have a whole lot of experience. I get a new truck in that the customer wants running boards installed on. I get it up on the lift and start working on it. I get one side loosely on and bend down to do something then the back of the truck falls off the lift and the sides land on the lift arms. For some dumb reason my instinct was to try to catch the truck. Fortunately I wasn't crushed. The problem was that the lift arms did not lock into position, the lift pads were round rubber pads which were pretty smooth and the truck frame had just been undercoated. The lift arms just decided to both slip inwards. They said it wasn't even the first time something like that had happened with that specific lift.
The damage was pretty bad because that running board that was loosely installed bent up the rocker panel. Both bed sides were damaged.

Reselling took off in the past few years and everyone thought they could get in on it. Goodwill realized that they were leaving money on the table and started jacking up prices and opened their own online auction site for the better stuff.
Dumdums who think they want to get into reselling keep buying junk for high prices there and then can't handle the reselling game.

I recently volunteered at a community recycling drive where people could drop off old tvs and broken things. You would not believe the amount of valuable stuff people brought. An old lady had a box with an nes and about 15 games plus a PS1 and who knows what else. I asked her if she wanted to keep it as it's valuable, she said no. I left it in her trunk.
Next time I'm going to stand a block or so away with a sign asking for old computers and stuff, it's ridiculous how muxh valuable old tech gets thrown away.

Currently dealing with carpet beetles, more specifically their larvae. They like to eat things like hair and also anything made out of natural fibers. They're also extremely small. I noticed them when I emptied the laundry basket and after staring at them for a moment realizing that they were bugs, they started moving. I have hardwood floors and I keep finding them. I sweep the floor with a broom into a white dustpan and stare at it and then after 30 seconds or so I see movement. One or two each time, everywhere all over the house. I found a forgotten hair brush under the couch and there was one in there. They're completely harmless except that they will eat holes in your clothes. They take a long time to go from larvae to flying beetle. They can also survive without eating for 30 days. The original beetle could have just flown in from outside or came in on fresh flowers. They also like women's underwear because of the pheromones. The eggs must have been in a piece of clothing and then got spread around the house before hatching.

With all of the websites out there that give you answers to questions, nobody is learning shit in college. You can take any question from homework, quizzes, tests, whatever and put it into Google and get the answer. Every school is using online learning systems, so everything is multiple choice, online. Professors barely do any work anymore.

NORMAL — Rivian Automotive is investigating the cause of a fire that damaged vehicles in a parking lot at its campus on the community's west side. The company's manufacturing plant was unaffected, said Kelli Felker, corporate communications senior manager. "We are investigating the cause of a fire that damaged a number of vehicles in a parking lot at our Normal plant late Saturday night," Felker said in a statement shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday. "The plant itself is unaffected. At this time, we are not aware of any injuries." [A video](https://www.facebook.com/share/v/RgnWL4PEt3dqaDq5/) circulating on social media late Saturday showed concentrated, bright orange flames in the lot outside the plant. The Normal Fire Department confirmed that it responded to a fire at the Rivian campus, but could not immediately provide more information. Emergency vehicles were still at the scene as of 12:20 a.m. Rivian employs more than 8,000 workers at its manufacturing operations in Normal, where all of the company's electric pickup trucks, SUVs and commercial delivery vans are produced.
