Hmm thanks for this. Must be a problem with my instance or something
cross-posted from: https://lemmy.world/c/asklemmy@lemmy.world > Maybe I'm behind on this but I looked through all of the relevant posts I could find and can't get this working. > > If I'm on my lemmy instance, I have figured out how to search for kbin magazines, but none of them populate/federate. For example, if I'm looking for /m/AskKbin I can search for https://kbin.social/m/AskKbin in my lemmy instance search bar, and it finds the community. But no posts are federated. This is the same for every community/magazine that I try and subscribe to from my lemmy instance > > Am I doing something wrong here?

It seems like the old "opposites attract" story, but where fire falls in love with water. But each element is an over-the-top stereotype of what we think about them, fire-y hot headed and aggressive, vs cool and flowy water.
IDK feels just like inside out to me, where emotions are over-the-top stereotypes of what we think of them

I mean, even now the overwhelming majority of movies are about white men. Maybe there are other cultures, ethnicities, minority groups, etc with vastly different stories to tell? Give me a romcom about a T4T couple, or about a historical fiction about Thai mythology, or the Australian aboriginal origin stories. IMO there are lots of stories from around the world waiting to be told....
But we wont get those, we have the 653rd marvel movie coming out instead.

Can we just collectively say we're done with superhero movies that are all basically the same movie? Can we maybe tell new and unique stories instead of relying on the same tired tropes from 50 years ago?
the flash is literally every other super hero movie, and elemental is just inside out. Do something new ffs

Uhhh.... bit of a stretch. Is it also similar to any other flag with lines that miiiiight look like an L and a W when you squint your eyes?

Oh definitely, looking back I did a lot of doom scrolling and I didn’t realize how much it was affecting me. So happy to be off or Reddit

Ahh thanks for the context. I guess something like this can never be that easy, especially with the custom silicon that apples running now

These are the same people who can expense up to $79 per day for food and drink. They're fine taking hand outs, they just don't want you to have any.

No Man's Sky runs at a very stable 60fps, I personally know people who have wrangled it up to 120fps. I know they don't have the same underlying tech, but they're very similar in terms of gameplay (from what we've seen)

She's still a baby so not super sure. I feel like it's an average sized tail? Not noticeably longer than our other cat's tail

“The new Game Porting Toolkit provides an emulation environment to run your existing unmodified Windows game and you can use it to quickly understand the graphics feature usage and performance potential of your game when running on a Mac,”
So this is a real-time translation layer similar to how rosetta works? If this is working already and assuming that it works well, why would developers spend time making a native port when this is free and It Just Works^TM^

Honestly feel like this is more reason to join a smaller instance which can interact with all of these communities. It takes some of the load off of the bigger instances, you can have a closer relationship to the mods/admins of your instance, and have protection against drama that goes down between the bigger instance

I wonder if they could shift to showing cached versions of pages, so that data is still accessible externally, but you can't interact or get to it from reddit.

This is so cool to see! Arguably more relevant data would be daily active users and posts per day, rather than totals of all time. That way we can see the fluctuation day to day and get a better sense of who is just coming here and who is staying here
Hey all! My name is bee, I use they/it pronouns, and I'm the admin over at honeyhive.social. Though small this seems to be one of the more populated trans communities so I figured I would reach out and keep the intros going. By day I'm a server administrator for a big tech company, and I guess I'm a server admin in my free time now too. I also am suuuuper into bikes and anything to do with biking, and kinda consider myself pretty radically anti-car. I volunteer my time going around the city giving people free tune ups and anything else I can do to reduce the barriers to bike-ability in my city. I also love cute story-driven games, I write poetry, I make super skin friendly soap, and I am a mom to two gorgeous and feisty cats. So lovely to be here and I'm excited to meet y'all!
