It's open source, so you could compile it yourself if you wanted.

Looks like it's targeting .NET 6.0 though, which ends support in less than a month. I don't know if it's easy to change, so it might be worth it to the devs to start work on a cross-platform and currently supported client.

Syria. Israel has invaded Egypt before, then retreated. Jordan has support from Saudi Arabia. Syria doesn't have support, and it's a mess internally, so it'd be fairly easy to take.

I'd bet they'd just take Damascus and the coast, though, unless they'd also want wherever the oil is (somewhat likely).

And that would be true, if the government didn't enable pro sports by granting monopolies, subsidizing stadiums, and allowing the horrifying monetization of advertising and gambling, especially on broadcast media.

You want to run headlong into a brick wall, be my guest, but do it with your own time and money, not mine.

I'm pretty sure all their content is available by torrent, so you could mirror the data and provide the torrent files for direct download. It'll probably be here when it's back up: https://archive.org/details/public-domain-archive

Sure, you're welcome to keep using the version you like, or to write or maintain one on your own. Or pay someone for their labor to do it for you.

But if you use something made out of someone's good will, don't rely on it for anything critical.

I don't think the diet was the primary factor in success at school. Usually family support and a match between teaching and learning styles are more influential. Nutrition is important, of course, but I think once you have base nutrition, even if it's from processed food, you should be able to be successful (assuming the processed food doesn't also have additives that are actively detrimental, but I don't know of any that were shown to broadly have a significant negative effect).

I don't see any mention of casualties, so hopefully that means they did actually evacuate it when it was condemned.

This really illustrates why we have building design requirements in the first place. As an American, this is why I hate the Republicans for trying to regress on regulation. This is what they're trying to have.

  • Link to post: https://lemmy.world/post/19274834 If you tap that link in Boost it'll probably crash, so don't do it unless you're okay with that. I'm guessing the problem is that the post URL is a magnet link. Edit: oh yeah, to work around, you'll have to open it in a browser and hide it.

I got banned earlier today with the message "rule 1", no other information about why, or which comment broke the rule. As far as I can tell it was [this one](https://lemm.ee/post/40926293/14431597), which just says "We want the bot gone. That’s it. It’s really that simple." So I checked the modlog for other bans, and [@aniki@lemmings.world](https://lemmings.world/u/aniki) was banned today as well, also just for "rule 1", probably either for the comment saying ["a stupid bot writing useless bullshit"](https://lemm.ee/post/40926293/14430488) or ["This is what you call "Not listening to criticism.""](https://lemm.ee/post/40926293/14429206), neither of which are an attack on any person. (Also earlier today [@MindTraveller@lemmy.ca](https://lemmy.ca/u/MindTraveller) was banned with the message "fuck off", which I'm pretty sure is not a reason to ban someone from a major community, but doesn't appear to be related to the MBFC bot.) One more today, [@stormesp@lemm.ee](https://lemm.ee/u/stormesp) was banned, again just "rule 1", last comment being [this one](https://lemm.ee/post/40926293/14416892), again not an attack on any person. So what's the deal here? I couldn't find any rules for mods on lemmy.world with a brief poke around, but are we letting mods run major communities like little fiefdoms, banning people for criticism?
