I have a ps5. I dont think I'll ever buy another console thats not a PC. I want to keep my library. I want a choice of places to buy games. I want no subscription for basic services. Consoles solved a problem that running high end games with specialized hardware was cheaper. Now its not, so they dont make financial sense.
I would assume my next games machine will be a steam deck type device that works like a switch for big screen, or that just streams over WiFi to my TV.

Saying she respects his right to have an opinion, as this s seems to be, is far from accusing Israel if genocide. JPost calling it blood libel is inflammatory and an attempt to silence all valid calls of genocide.

I'm not nornalisong genocide. I also recognize that there are two bad options and she is the least bad option.
Actively seeking to undermine her without an alternative is advocating for more genocide, not less.

Not really. As vice president her role is to follow the administration and donbidens plans, but not unquestioningly. As a candidate, she should have her own vision.
Shes more responsible than someone outside the administration but shes not the administration on her own. So even if there were minor tweaks that were inconsequential to you or any major issues, it wouldn't be performative but perfectly normal.
I would expect her platform to also not undermine her current role, or shed have to leave. If she plans major changes, she should announce them before election but that doesn't mean she needs to announce things that aren't election issues, unless she chooses to This is perfectly normal whether you agree with her or Biden or neither or both. To paint it as unusual is performative on your part, not hers.

To be fair, it took a momwbr to see him with all the dust, but behind the chair would have been better.
As other commenter said, he looks defeated so perhaps just struggling with some recent blasts. Or the malnutrition and stress of genocide.
I wouldn't wish anyone dead but hopefully it satisfies Israel's thirst for revenge, so innocents stop dying.

Many regular libraries lend out much more than books.

Dude!
Reminds me of the movie without the car.
Band camp.
Similar movie, with some of the same actors.

DC++ It was just sharing stuff. No search. You connect to someone’s computer, they have a shared folder. You download what you want and move on. Instead of searching for stuff, you discovered it.

Let's not attack children. Its not their fault they have trumpnforna parent. I assume he's talking about a child (Barron, now teen, he's probably unaware), not his chikdnthats an adult.

Yes, which existed at the time but was not a commonly used phrase. I dont know that it had even been coined by that point.

Yes, in think the directors have even said it wasnt consciously a trans based decision at the time. They just thought it would be cool and make a good story.

Oh, I'm well aware of the delays. Its just Lemmy world, from what I can gather.

I think both being social constructs of social animals, there is probably same shared neurology or biology, or psychology in our actions around our gender, culture and race.
However, as a construct, we don’t deem a white person who grows up in black culture to be black. We don’t consider a tomboy, who climbs trees with boys to be a boy (despite the name).
We know that people change their accents and language subconsciously around different subcultures, like code switching.
From a biological standpoint, we don’t really understand the purpose of being trans or gay. There are theories about nurturing and village raises a child etc. However, we know that transition gives better lives to trans people, similarly, we know gay people don’t respond well to conversion therapy. For someone like Rachel, it seems to be a fantasy and the general thinking around that is enabling it feeds into the fantasy and encourages unhealthy thought processes, rather than the opposite in transition for trans people. However, I’m. It sure that psychologists or psychiatrists would agree, or if that’s just pop psychology.
That doesn’t make her beliefs invalid. However, they are not common enough to have a recognised course of action. In the end, as it’s all a construct, can’t we just let her be who she wants to be if it’s not hurting anyone and we don’t know any better? I’d agree that those who are using her for comparison aren’t doing so in good faith.

I wonder if some form of p2p would be possible, more like syncthing, than torrent, to allow the sheer numbers to create a swarm, to fix the issue rather than cause it. I’m not a dev in any form, so I’m sure smarter minds have considered it and have dismissed it or are working on it,

One of the main characters, Switch, was meant to change genders in and out of the matrix. It’s not all trans metaphors, but there is much going on there that is relevant,

I've already switched to Firefox. It makes me a little sad that I moved to chrome in the first place. Back then google seemed to care about improving the web experience and moving to open standards. Now they are so dominant, it's the opposite. Its the death of an idealistic internet.

I'm tempted but as it doesn't conclude, I'm not hugely pushed. Its one thing to be disappointed that it gets cancelled. Another entirely to go in knowing it won't complete.
Certainly rewatching may be interesting given how things progressed.

Raised by wolves season 1 ends on a strange scene that adjusts the tone and focus. Season 2 continues that and is both better and worse, more consistent and more batshit. A fun watch. Such a shame it couldn’t continue. I hope this isn’t in any way spoilery.
I’m trying to set containers for some websites on a shared windows terminal with multiple users under the same login. We use some cloud software and each user has their own log in. Manually opening websites in container manager allows this, but I’m struggling to do so for opening in container for the home page. Each log in just launches in the default container (unassigned). I’ve tried using bookmark tree, which seems to support containers, but I can’t get it to work. Assigning a site to always open in a container doesn’t seem to work either as it’s the same site for multiple users (which seems to be the purpose of multi account container), so if it always opens in container A, person B still needs to manually open in their container.
I just recently got the 190 update pushed. It mentioned lots of fixes. One was image handling. I have found that now exiting an image is a bit slow or glitchy. A single gesture to go back does not exit and instead it needs two. Tapping an image instead still closes it but there is a delay that wasnt there before. I'm on a pixel 7pro with gesture navigation.
My phone coverage stopped for a period. I was using connect at the time and a comment failed. I initially thought it was a big but noted after restarting, it still was out. Then I checked with a test search to find it was all internet. A few minutes later internet was back. Went back into Lemmy and refreshed. No data showing. I checked down-for-me for my instance and it was up. Refreshed again. No data. Again restarted app and it was fine then. So, it seems he connection outage did not allow refresh after it came back, despite a restart during the outage.
