Old Fortran/Cobal programmer and those words were like magical words to thwart off any management questions. “Running out to get a coffee” “What now?” “Compiling” “Grab me one also would ya” Magic, just magic.

Been using it for a little bit and so far its quite good. A few hiccups, but nothing to make it unusable. I'm on iOS 17 and like I said, working well. Thanks for this!!!!

If trump can run and win on sowing chaos, why not use that tactic and see how far it can go. I say go for it.

Hey friend. Yes I was there with my son and it was a truly smoking show. I was also at Bristow and that was also an excellent show.

You are "dead" right, they seem to be enjoying playing and are nicely in sync. When they came out of drums/space into Dark Star again, the interplay between Jeff and John was intense and the Cumberland drove hard and never stopped.

The show is up on internet archive for those that are interested.

Going to any of the later shows?

For me going up a hill, its more like hill walking, there is no race in me.

I've learned to shorten my stride, keep my head up and use my arms more. I generally will walk most hills.

    You?

I have a local backup only drive for pictures and critical laptop backups and use rsync nightly. I also do rsync nightly to Backblaze for pictures. Figure if I can grab the drive I will have it stored offsite.

How to increase your walking efficiency.
    https://ultrarunning.com/featured/how-to-increase-your-walking-efficiency/

I've tried to incorporate some form of semi-speed walking into my race strategy, both from necessity and just trying to reach my target miles. I know this is an older article, but its still pretty relevant. I always feel odd doing the whole hip thing and generally revert to just walking fast if that makes sense. Do you all practice any particular walking techniques you can recommend?

Welcome runners, let me share my story.

I'm in the twilight of my ultrarunning for sure, but still love getting outside and finding that place where your body and mind just flow over the ground while your moving forwards. I'm a slow runner, never felt speed was what did it for me. But I always enjoyed just running for hours. I started with 5/10K's back in the 80's, I think the Perrier 10K in Central park was my first race. Again I knew I would never be in the top, but just enjoyed the challenge. Trained for my 1st marathon, remember this was pre-web days so a lot was done so wrong. But finished it. Ran a few a year, then life, kids, but when I turned 31 I did a 50K and loved it. Of course when I turned 50 I had to do a 50 miler, 12 hours later I was done and loved it. Attempted my 1st 100 miler when I turned 60, ok I know I'm aging myself, and come down with some freak structural issue and had to bail at 72 miles. But I worked it out and was able to complete my 100 miles 8 months later and have run a few more in the past few years. Of course I left out all the good stuff; training, illness, how many times can you puke in a 2 hour period, what plan's seem to work best, etc. But thats where I hope you all fill in all that good stuff. Anyway, nice to see you here and lets here about your whys, whats and hows.

That's a good take. When I worked in IT for a big company, they brought in a new CIO that was brought in specifically to outsource all of internal IT. After that was complete he retired a rich man.
