Thank you for running a great instance. No notes. Except it would be nice if you could set the limit on how long a proxies image remains available. It would be nice if there was a time limit that could be shortened based on time. Or a combination of the first and second option.

"We lost" to a career politician, of whom does really great with prepared, political settings, but sucks monkey balls at any setting involving normal human interaction. Waltz has never seemed that comfortable with prepared talking points, he's too much of a dad, and exudes that down-to-earth vibe that hopefully resonates with some voters who don't like career Democrat politicians, but feel what Waltz has to offer all.

Vance is a politician, Waltz is a neighbor. Vance does well in official, political settings, that's all.

Isn't this just the Golden Rule? I've tried to live like this everyday for 20 years, but it can be difficult in this day and age. Most people don't think like that. It's easy to hold the door for people or say thank you, but it's hard when you don't receive the same courtesy. Jokes on them, though, cause they'll burn in hell!

Getting to Mars is a cover.

Musk is using his fortune, tax dollars, and rich investors to develop the means for the rich to escape the hell they've created and/or the mobs of common folk that will surely beat down his, and other wealthy oligarchs, doors when society inevitably flops. That's why he's ignoring regulations and laws like they don't matter to him. When your entire purpose is to help the rich escape their fate, you don't give a fuck about rules.

He's an accelerationist with more money than god.

Yeap! On principal, I won't buy any game that dumps pre-orders of games on Steam in lieu of exclusivity, from other non-Epic platforms, even if I liked the game series before. For instance, I have really liked the Metro series of games. However, as soon as the third game was announced as exclusive to Epic, I refused to purchase it on Steam even after the exclusivity deal expired. It didn't help that the creator of the Metro games caught wind of people refusing to buy the game and threatened to not make anymore if sales bombed on Epic.

I'm just so tired of all the entities in this world that would rather make a quick buck, then milking as much from the player-base as possible, while standing in the way of me eeking out some sort of happiness in this shit-ass capitalistic hellscape. Would I rather be doing more creative shit with my free time or enjoying life in some capacity? Sure, but until we tear down this shitty pyramid scheme our society has bought into, games are the one thing that I still enjoy. I watch them actively deleting content for games I love, or making the content only available on specific platforms, and it makes me want to flay these wealthy fucks and leave them for the crows...

Please don't vote-splain. You're arguing semantics. The electoral college just gives states the ability to decide to honor or ignore the will of the people. It also gives rural states more per-capita power than they'd othereise get. Until relatively recently, most states had nothing on the books to force delegates to vote the way the people wanted.

Sure, some of the younger crowd may want to abolish the electoral college, it won't happen unless states force an amendment. The fossils in Congress, as well as the enshrined political surnames, will all use their collective power and wealth to shut that shit down for as long as they can.

In terms of they're both the same, you are naive if you think the Democrats really care about you or power. They just don't outrightly tell the populous to fuck off like the Republicans do. The party tolerates progressives, but does everything they can to keep them out of power. Look to Adam Schiff these last couple of years for a good example. If I recall, didn't he politically champion and/or donate to a candidate running against a progressive Democrat in his state? When the Democrats, or even the Republicans for that matter, have all three branches, they still never seem to get anything done.

Hmm, 🤔... It's almost like they want the current status quo to persist, even when empowered to do something without barriers.

Isn't this kind of missing the point, though? The reason neither party wants to change a thing about the current system is the whole point of abolishing the electoral college is to remove the spoiler effect that eventually leads to a two party system. If the electoral college ends, there's no such thing as swing states, gerrymandering will be moot, candidates will actually have to have policies that people want, they'll have to actually campaign, and many corporate "Democrats" will probably get outed by more progressive candidates.

There are other benefits, but I really don't see this getting any traction, regardless, until we can get money our of politics and a wealth tax that makes sense (like 70%+ on the ultra wealthy).

I agree with your sentiment that Democrat ideas -- more likely the progressive Democrat ideas -- will likely be the candidates that win the most. However, we'll likely never find out cause both parties will fight this with all of their being and financial ghouls.

Like why, though, is my thought. They're Amazon. They don't need the money and I can't remember the last time I had to even set our alarm it's contact anyone there for support. I'm really tired of having to dump products after having them setup and integrated. Fuck I hate this shit...

    https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidQuestions/comments/19eljnb/music_not_resuming_playback_when_bluetooth_device/

I used to have no issue with this, just like the person from this reddit post, where my music app would resume playing if it was the last app with media playing via Bluetooth and I did not actively close the app since the last time it played. I am having this same issue, with this same phone, running (I assume) the same Android version. Ever since I got my Pixel 7, I've had no problems with Bluetooth resuming in my car. I'd listen to Deezer on my way to work, my way from work, and as long as it was the app of choice, it would start playback as soon as it connected back to my car. I received a few updates recently and now that doesn't happen. Now it just shows me what it **was** playing, but never starts it, and I have to go into the app, itself, just to "wake it up" to play. Anyone seen similar? I've unchecked all things that I know of which could stop an app from running in the background, or with loss of connection to devices. It's not set to close at all for any reason, yet it almost seems like it does. No one has responded to the OP of the cross-post so I figured I'd extend this post to Lemmy and see if anyone has an answer or suggestion. Soon as my phone is paid off I'm going to Graphene or some other alternative to Google's trash.
