Cities Skylines 2 PC performance is below target and modding tools will be basic at launch, Paradox says

I'm fine with this, honestly. I'd prefer more devs do this instead of pushing back releases at the last minute or forcing their teams to crunch.

  • Lag/stuttering on Google Maps?
  • moth moth 1y ago 100%

This is Windows 10. I've tried Ubuntu and Arch on the same computer, and they were both faster.

  • Recently switched computers and realized that Google maps is running really slow now. Severe stuttering, longer loading times, etc. The site works normally on chromium based browsers (tested edge, chrome, Vivaldi). Anything I can do? Old PC had Radeon graphics and new has Intel integrated and Nvidia, if that's relevant.

I'm in the same spot. Ended up just buying a cheap SSD and dual booting with windows 10. It's definitely not as convenient as it could be, but it works perfectly.

  • cheapest, dirtiest split kb possible?
  • moth moth 1y ago 100%

I might just end up doing this, lol. I've switched to Ortho before, so it'll just be the split I'm getting used to. Thanks!

  • Liftoff! Version 0.10.4 is available today!
  • moth moth 1y ago 100%

Theming + support for more instances, this is gonna make Liftoff my go-to app. Thanks!

  • Recently, I've been looking into switching to a keyboard with an Ortho split layout. I want the cost to be as low as possible in case I end up not liking it. Any kits that would work for this? US btw, if that matters for availability

What is causing this pattern in the first layer?
  • moth moth 1y ago 100%

Probably too close to the bed. The gap between your nozzle and your printing surface isn't big enough, so some of the filament isn't able to escape and builds up in blobs. Check if the patters's any worse/more noticeable towards the middle.

When and why did you start using Linux?
  • moth moth 1y ago 100%

I got a laptop with windows 11 pre-installed. Everything I wanted to change was either impossible or required a bullshit workaround. Installed Linux to save me the trouble.

I've had trouble logging in on liftoff, it doesn't recognize any of the instances I have accounts on.
