I will rather go with a second hand 2-3 years old premium laptop from a Linux manufacturer such as System76 or Tuxedo.

The real downside of brave is the cryptocrap. It is still optional. However the fact that it support the chromium monopoly is also a bad point.

I think you confuse security and privacy. Samsung are pretty secure from what I saw. They are not private at all however. You can debloat it with adb and maybe tools such as Universal Android Debloater.
There is a couple of guide such as this one: https://linustechtips.com/topic/1402380-ultimate-samsung-oneui-debloat-privacy-customization-guide/

I wish I discovered that sooner thanks you. Except a few games they all have good artwork, etc...
Pretty much the title. I installed my GOG games through Lutris and wanted to rapidly import them to Steam. Same for emulated ROM. Do you have advices ?

I like Fairphone's mission but kinda feel meh about their execution. Don't get me wrong they probably do better than everyone else. But releasing a phone per year isn't great for the environment. Removing the headphone jack wasn't for ecological reasons. Making tiny earbuds isn't in hand with easy reparability. And you can't upgrade anything !
I wish they will slow the pace for a release every 2 years with better upgradability. I also wish they would work with GrapheneOS so the hardware and firmware are secure enough for the Graphene team to work on that device.
But nice that the brand is still alive. I hope they won't go too much into green washing.

FlatPak is not the as secure as everyone think it is.
Would like to see open source client such as Infinity, Stealth, RedReader, etc... going to lemmy. The best case scenario would be all reddit client including Apollo, Boost, etc... supporting the transition to lemmy but this is quite unlikely unfortunately...
SimpleMobileTools are making simple yet great open source android apps. No ads, no trackers, cheap price or even free. I personnaly love Simple Gallery Pro and have a lot of respect for the devs, I would like to donate since they accept cryptos... unfortunately only BTC, ETH and LTC. Let them heard of the benefits of Monero so I (and maybe you) could donate to them for their work !
I recently discover [NowPayments](https://nowpayments.io/) which looks like a cool services but does not suit well with a Monero mindset. I understand that it will have some compromises for using a service like that no matter how serious the ones running it are. I was just wondering if their was a simple way for a commerce to be paid in euro/dollar or whatever currency is prefered and that the customer uses XMR without comprimising any information on his/her side.
Often people tend to say due to the lack of funding open source apps have bad UI and also sometimes terrible UX. While it’s not entierly false I’ve found myself some beautifuly designed apps and wanted to share them here.
If you don't know, Samourai is an open source non-custodial bitcoin-only wallet for Android. The team behind it have done an amazing job to bring security, privacy and anonymity to the use of bitcoin. They do not spend money on advertisement. Give it a try and vote for it !
