What made you choose your current polticial ideology?

I understand it's mostly marxists and a few anarchists on hexbear - although if someone knows different feel free to call me out. I am wondering what made people choose marxism over anarchism or vice versa. Also if you follow a specific branch or tendency (i.e. trotskyism or anarcho-communism) what made you pick that specific one vs the others.
