You know, they say this fucking shit and then you go on recent "UkraineWarFootage" and see more recently dated photos and they're still using relatively modern equipment. Sure, some 90s gear here and there/vehicles but like...where's the 10 gorillion T-45s that were supposedly deployed? I want to see them, damnit!
Been looking at ways to get a super cheap car. GSAAUctions has some neat govt. fleet vehicles and other stuff for less than a thousand dollars on some. Anything I should know about GSAAuctions? I'm pretty sure the govt. cars aren't criminal asset forfeiture, right? If I were to successfully bid on something, what is the process on "getting it"? They issue you a certificate and you pay the final bid and go and grab it? Or is there something else I'm missing? Never done this before...or bidding on anything at all. I hate bidding.

If you don't remember, that's fine. It's not that I'm going "ew new person" it is that you haven't been around to see what the community actually is if you're speaking from a standpoint of 1 month. I'm not "disagreeing" with you in that yes, we do have some "idealists" and certainly not a lack of idealism in some places but more often than not something unique I've noticed is that a lot of them leave/get tired, genuinely learn some grounding and start digging into theory other than just Marx alone or eventually say some shit and get banned. I can go on a complete summation about that as well.
Speaking from a view of about 19 days, engaging with one or two idealists and then painting the entire website as "The Idealist Forum" (Should I screenshot that too?) sounds, I dunno; a bit short-sighted and an analysis consisting of nothing more than personal reaction without knowledge of previous history.
There's the self-wanking part, too. "I'm not assuming anything. I'm making completely correct unbiased observations. You're just mad" (Paraphrasing, of course.) and of course the smugness. Oh and assuming that you being new has to do with anything. I'm "new" too compared to some users.

I think him being outed as a full, genuine Nazi galvanized his existing support-base but pretty much destroyed any centrist or middle-ground base that he had, which was confusing to me considering how Hitlerian a lot of Americans can be. Part of his far-right base didn't like that he did work with Israel. I don't really see the "edgy centrist" types sharing his comics anymore and he made like 5 comics coping about it.
If it didn't damage his base; it definitely fucked with him.

A lot of the T'au book has abject horror in reaction towards the Imperium. I sort of understand and like (not their execution of) the idea that this shit has been going on for so long it's so "normalized" that when you read outside of the "Imperium books" it shows their nature. You read some of the T'au stuff and it really does shine.
Rogue Trader: Faith and Coin has some absolutely brilliant excerpts that show how fucked up humanity really is at this time. A Rogue Trader with a damaged ship landing on a world ruthlessly exploiting a primitive, stone-age species and forcing the entire planet of theirs to give tribute while indoctrinating them into the Imperial Creed so that they are so religiously blinded to the exploitation that is occurring. The crew then disappears into space entirely with a ship full of goods. These "Anthropolatrists" would now be taking their first steps into the stars, using human design, technology and first meeting the IMPERIUM believing that they were their beneficent gods.
That right there is a lore snippet, yes; a heavily paraphrased and shortened version but it truly shows the absolute evil that the Imperium is. How horrible the universe is that this young species will meet their "gods" they've worshiped for thousands of years only to be exterminated entirely in a vile hatred of the "xeno".
Another one with an Inquisitor literally using Nazi-style propaganda to turn the humans on a world that they existed on peacefully with DAoT tech and other xenos into literal zealots that tore apart their entire fully developed, peaceful civilization that existed for thousands of years for the sake of a "God-Emperor" that only appeared in their minds decades earlier.
That's the kind of shit that's fucked up to me and they don't hold back on that sadly, you're right. They will never show that kind of shit on TV or in movies. It's gonna be generic shit that depicts the Imperium as "DAE STARSHIP TROOPERS BUT GOOD!!!"

Plenty of anarchist and marxist groups collaborate to do mutual aid. I follow a group on instagram who's been at the site doing water purification. blackpowderpress I think covered one of them.
It doesn't just seem convenient; there's historical precedence for it. While not natural disaster per say, fascists have been known to host AAs, "Masculinity Programs" and other niche social programs disguised as recruitment fronts. Further back, the government sponsoring radical militias to keep communists and socialist groups down is not uncommon or a element of the government (states and local/what not) to start funding these groups (I think of Chetniks for example). It's been going on a long, long time in the U.S especially and in this case it's more opportunist for them to establish a "popular front".

I think Civ easily takes the cake for "cursed" historical combos. Hearts of Iron can be pretty silly but Civ is just pure, ahistorical "tile" strategy.
I considered a Stalin mod for Russia and then I considered the "ah, shit, right. There's a chance he'd go Buddhist or some shit.". Also the idea of "ancient era 3000 bc Soviet Union" really inadvertently loops back to primitive communism.

I said, unlike China, our interventions have brought complete ruin and destruction on South America or the places we visit. I do plan to keep working on him! Another good news is that he apparently isn't transphobic or homophobic; which is odd given his political proclivities. One of the things we ended off with. He pretty much just said "Well, I don't know how I'd feel if my kids went that way but I'd still love them the same. I just don't want "them" tryna force my kids into it" to which I responded "Children are "forced "into a lot of things. It's up to you to give them guidance and know what is best for them and let them decide on that on their own in a point of time." Any advice from anyone? So, essentially, we got a new neighbor about a month ago. Nothing seemed off at first; they were actually incredibly cool about my "farm", garden, compost, etc. Even our dog; whom is a huge, leaping staffy (w some boxer, obv). I've actually been nice enough to offer them some veggies n such, as they seemed pretty decent. Roommate walked out yesterday and the guy has a Trump sign on our front lawn. Now I'm fucking depressed. It's incredible how you can be nice, work with someone and actually seem like a decent human being until you just put the ol' "Hey, I'd see you dead" sign right on the front lawn. Fucks sake man. My room-mate was the one who told me about it after they dumped it into the can lmao. So! Anyone got recommendations for my own agitprop? My plan so far is to act normal; but just put increasing amounts of communist propaganda in the communal hallway, garden, outside the side door and just start ramping it like crazy. All while pretending I have no idea where it's coming from or if anything has changed. I'd like some websites where I can ethically buy some of this preferably from other communists or anarchists.
