Honestly I'd only ever visit a 7-11 by choice if the one by me starts carrying any of the food the Japanese ones serve

We already have a fucking IV fluid shortage because of the previous hurricane and my hospital, in fucking CALIFORNIA, has begun rationing bags.

Jesus I'm honestly wondering how many staff are even going to come to work? Like for real any nurse or doctor coming in knows they aren't going to get relief once that storm hits and likely will have to go well beyond 24hrs+ providing continual care (god help those working in the ICU or trauma bays...), at the same time if they leave they will get charged with patient abandonment possibly compromising their licenses.

Honestly kinda wondering if there'll be any fallout on him regarding the upcoming devastation since there's very little to no actual funded prep for hurricanes in the state and insurance companies are likely going to go insolvent form this.
So apparently we are now in the find out of the fuck around part of climate change. My only question is if Florida is still going to retain it's electoral votes once it's fully submerged underwater?

Dude was just holding a fucking iced coffee and chilling but now cuss of some frothing fash he's lost his kidney, a portion of his intestines and the function of a fucking carotid artery. This fucker should be harvested to replace what he took from an innocent man just living and chilling.

They don't care either way, in their reality of "personal responsibility" there is no room for empathy in a similar was as the liberal thinks that such measures are just and that the oppressed should never demand more. Both are two dichotomies of the fascist state, the hatred towards the weak and the worship of the "process" of the state.

Had no idea about this but sadly makes sense that Hollywood has protected one of their sacred cows by having this swept under the rug

That's why hospitals have the N95 or surgical masks.
Yeah the N95 is the gold standard and what is used for all of our airborne iso rooms (this includes covid patients) that go into a negative airflow room (surgical masks are okay but I'd never want to be within six feet of someone with active covid without a N95). Still though 12 hour shifts working in close proximity with someone has led to quite a few of our staff getting covid recently which sucks. There's still very much an active covid problem that will likely lead to another surge as people conduct maskless travel again for the holidays (as well as the piss poor vaccine rates).
Bloobish 4w ago • 100%
Nah it's a hospital so we already do all that thankfully (and we got over the mask shortage so now there's extra that can be "taken home" as needed) and our public health department is still sending out masking advisories for healthcare staff. Cons though is having to work with patients that actively have covid.

Any good veggie focused sandwiches people have done? Looking for very little to no animal products. So far done well with combos of onion, cucumber, tomato, and hummus alongside cream cheese (tried both vegan and non vegan based cream cheese). Sun dried tomatoes and olive pate (blitzed olives with garlic, herbs and olive oil into a nice spread) as well as Armenian eggplant spread have also been freaking awesome additions to my pantry for veggie sammies. Anyone used seitan or other more heartier vegan protiens in sandwiches? Looking for something that isn't too crumbly or wet like tofu.
i.e. why must Hollywood focus on the endless capitalistic mouse wheel propaganda?
"We achieved the impossible. Hail to the working class!" Always a line that brings chills when you finally get to the end of the DLC and choose the good ending.
Honestly looks kinda interesting and happy to see Disco Elysium inspiring more iso rpg styles outside of standard DnD CRPGs
Anyone that is iffy on cold soups and especially fruit and veggie combos needs to try a basic gazpacho. Half of a watermelon, 3-4 roma tomatoes (or any big and juicy varieties), half a medium red onion, a whole bell pepper, half a large cucumber (persian or english works great), minced garlic, black pepper and paprika to taste, either red wine vinegar or balsamic, a glug of olive oil, add salt to taste. For ease of blitzing do it in stages, watermelon and diced tomatoe into the blender first which yields a lot of liquid, then followed by chopped/diced veggies. Blitz until it's a nice smooth consistency. Chill this bad boy in the fridge then eat as needed (this is especially great for y'all trying to stay cool during the heat wave). You can also garnish with diced cucumber, tomato and some croutons for added texture.
Honestly will be pretty happy if this means Capcom is gonna revive the series, gotta say the new VA for Frank doesn't hit right though.
So I've never been a fan of the sickly sweet oatmeals and other western style breakfast cereals, especially those with lots of sugar, so I've started recently getting into savory oatmeals and other porridges. My favorite so far is using a base dashi stock, miso paste and chili oil alongside some chopped light vegetables such as kimchi and scallions (water spinach is also good when finely diced).
Another good intro to leftism by SecondThought, good to share for those you know just now figuring out liberals are just another flavor of western fascism and chauvinism.
Don't know how many peeps here have seen the latest season of True Detective called "Night Country", but so far I've really enjoyed it. However strolling over to lovely ![reddit-logo](https://www.hexbear.net/pictrs/image/4aac8007-876f-4c7f-936d-b7eabf506ef4.png "emoji reddit-logo") has a lot of blubbering manchildren upset about the new season which just so happens to have two female leads, focuses upon abuses of Native Alaskans and women in general (domestic abuse, murder, etc), and also has native empowerment over exploitation as a theme. Well I just watched the final episode and I fuckin' loved it, so here's kinda a short tldr of it marked as a spoiler as I encourage y'all to see the show first if you haven't (it's an anthology so really only Seasons 1, 3 and this one are worth it). ::: spoiler spoiler Alright so the season began with a murder/suicide of a bunch of research scientists digging up ice cores to find microbes for eternal life or whatever (they had been found naked dead on the ice), however while checking the crime scene a human tongue is found and connected with the murder of a Alaskan Native woman several years ago by the name of Annie K (a woman that protested the activities of the local mining corp that was poisoning the town leading to stillbirths and other horrible stuff). Annie was a central figure to the town's native population being one of the younger upcoming midwives and spiritualist (don't know the proper term). She had been found stabbed and dumped over by the mine and her murder buried by the police and local politicians in cooperation with the mine to avoid public backlash. Welp turns out she was murdered by the Tsalal scientists when she found out they were the ones responsible for the pollution in a bid to thaw the permafrost and ice to get to harder to reach ice core samples. This would later be found out by the local circle of Native Women who performed a lot of the menial labor in town (maids and so had access to a lot of areas such as the police station, the mining office and the Tsalal station), so in revenge the women staged a faked suicide on to the ice, forcing the men at gunpoint to strip and wander into a blizzard for the sins they committed (all the men were responsible for stabbing Annie K to death Agustus Ceasar style when she tried sneaking into Tsalal many years ago to find info on the pollution). Anyway the season ends with the current cop duo covering for the Native women and letting the murder go unsolved as well as resolving issues of mother hood and sisterhood (similar to how season 1 was about the lacking of fathers and brothers/comrades as a secondary theme). ::: So yeah gonna be a lot of ![wojak-nooo](https://www.hexbear.net/pictrs/image/44f42cb5-b644-4687-a9f4-14557f5c0582.png "emoji wojak-nooo") in response to the show being turned into "Woke Detective". Anyway it's a pretty good season and is worth a try even though it does drag sometimes (but is thankfully only 6 episodes something I think was wisely chosen by the show lead).
Guess we are getting Deli style no billionaire Batman
Honestly surprised it took so long for a mainstream attempt at a zoo horror game, setting is ripe with it as well as the possible themes. Zoochosis for instance is actually the mental breakdown and psychosis zoo animals can suffer under from long term confinement without proper enrichment at zoos.
