Yeah in any other parliamentary system Trump would have formed his own party and random independents wouldn't get anywhere near a major party's presidential nomination. It would be completely locked down by party establishment figures. There would be a number of other conservative and fascist parties "splitting" the vote as well.

It being from 2007 feels like some Lamarckist text or something, like someone who's very early in writing about a lot of these issues but gets stuff wrong and uses some terms that are completely alien to the contemporary queer lexicon.

I will say, even as a non-binary person, that we should always be wary of being disparaging or alienating towards people who to connect with the gender binary, not saying we have a tendency to be, but I can see why it comes across that way sometimes.

There is a real radicalism behind rejection of the gender binary and a lot of people just aren't ready for that (but their kids are gonna love it).

It's because "the overton window" is liberal nonsense. Genocide has always been acceptable to the liberal ideological hegemony. It only ceases to be acceptable when it's an enemy that does it.

Even the ones that don't believe in climate change, covid pandemics and deny the genocide know that something is off, something isn't right. Nothing is working how it's "supposed" to work i.e. how they were taught. When the powers that be are making the world miserable and the same powers to a half-assed admittance to all these things, many don't feel they can trust the truth and turn elsewhere for answers, look for new truths and conspiracies. Hence why Trump and other fash movements (MRA, eco-fash etc.) do gain a following.

Why should she? Her party represents different interests to the Democratic party. In a fair and just democracy she should be allowed to run for office to represent that platform. If the Democrats have an issue with that, then they should adopt some of those policies. For instance, one of her policies is an anti-genocide policy. This might seem a bit radical and extreme but it's apparently very popular. If the Democratic party stopped being pro-genocide then there would be less threat from Stein.

People really need to stop acting like the Green Party just came about in the last decade to spite the Democrats. If the Democrats had a decent platform they'd stop losing votes to them.

Wait what sites are down? Just checked the ones I normally use and they're fine?

Also, just to say, I think there's this big learning curve with torrents cause people aren't straight forward with others ask for advice (told what not to do rather than what to do) and there's also just too much fear mongering about viruses.

I live in the UK. It's effectively an island of Karens. Anyone causing trouble or causing a fuss would be considered an enemy no matter how fascist the government is getting. As long as the state maintains decorum and the King is on the throne telling everyone to behave, a massive chunk of the British proletariat aren't gonna do shit and will rat out any people's army.

It's also a country with very few places for guerrillas to hide. There's no hills and mountains to the extent somewhere like Italy has. No vast countryside with lots of forests and jungles. Apart from the Scottish Highlands it's not practical terrain for it. It's very urbanised and there's cameras everywhere. Maybe we could operate out of one of the more rundown cities idk. Or it would have to be some super elaborate thing with thousands of sleeper agents spread all over the country.

Best we can probably hope for is economic crisis leading to balkanisation leading to the formation of at least one long term commune, council communist situation or socialist state forming. Short of that, some other, more radically inclined nation on the mainland having a revolution and invading and forcing in a communist government from above like the USSR did to eastern europe.

Yeah that's actually a conspiracy to stop white people from being able to eat anything. I'm part of the underground organisation spearheading it. I'm currently trying to encourage the CC to attempt making mexican hot chocolate the standard.

I feel like assassination attempts, especially in this day and age, are an indication that a given political faction has been pushed to the brink. And I think the fact that we have two, maybe three, attempts by Republicans trying to murder their own electoral candidate is an indication of strong but seemingly silent, discontent within the party. Now we know this exists on the Democratic side as well but they haven't started trying to kill Harris or Biden yet for various reasons. Regardless, it's clear that strong discontent exists within "both" parties. I think November is gonna be a competition to see who can lose the least amount of votes to third parties and write-in candidates personally. It's gonna be interesting to watch. I'm not American so it's more of an abstract case-study to me. I'm just hoping as few innocent people suffer as possible, whatever the outcome.
